IgM Isotype Controls

Immunoglobulin M (IgM) constitutes approximately 10% of the total Ig concentration in human serum. It is generated as a B cell membrane bound monomer and a secreted pentamer with five IgM molecules joined together by a connecting J chain. Each of the five monomers within the pentamer structure is composed of two light chains, kappa or lambda, and two heavy chains. IgM is the first antibody to respond during an immune response.

SouthernBiotech produces and validates an extensive range of monoclonal and polyclonal IgM purified immunoglobulins available in unconjugated and conjugated formats for use as standards and IgM isotype controls in applications such as ELISA, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and functional assays.
